About Mero Vidyalaya

Mero Vidyalaya (मेरो विद्यालय, “my school”) helps families and students find the right school or college. Official school lists are often published only as spreadsheets, in the local language, and are hard to search. We turn them into pages anyone can find, read and share, in English with the original names alongside.

We work one place at a time and include every school in it, starting with Pokhara, Nepal. More cities in Nepal and abroad, and colleges, are on the way. The blog covers choosing a school, admissions, study abroad and scholarships such as Erasmus Mundus.

Where the information comes from

• Pokhara school records: Pokhara Metropolitan City school records, 2082 B.S. (पोखरा महानगरपालिका अन्तर्गतका विद्यालयहरूको विवरण २०८२): names, wards, grades, principals and phone numbers. English names are transliterated from the originals.
• Locations: matched to places mapped on OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL), only when a phone number, or the name and area together, agree.
• Websites and Facebook pages: checked by hand; we only list a site when it clearly belongs to that school.
• Scholarship and admission details: taken from the official programme pages, dated, and linked, because amounts and deadlines change every year.
• Photos: real, licensed photos, credited under each image.
